Collage as Journal Practice

I am an avid journaler. I make it a point to sit down every day and put pen to paper. But sometimes, I just don’t feel like writing. And some days my analytical mind gets in the way of my creative flow. That’s when I turn to collage as another form of journaling.

The thing that I love about collage is that I don’t need to come up with my own words and imagery. I have full permission to use the words and images created by others! Instead of being the source material, I get to step into the role of curator, tapping into what speaks TO me rather than speaking FOR me.

Please enjoy this fun and accessible video tutorial, which takes a look at my personal collage process, shared within the framework of a journal practice.

This free-to-you video is made possible with support and donations from our community through Patreon. If you read my words, enjoy my work, or engage with my art, please consider becoming a patron! Thank you.
