Art Care Packages via Patreon
I am a community supported artist. I cannot do this work alone and I am grateful beyond measure to be working with a phenomenal community through Patreon. Today, I want to share a video about the art care packages I send to patrons who subscribe at the $10 a month level. I send out a little art pack 3-4 times a year and they’re always different. It could be a watercolor, or note cards, bookmarks, or other artsy ephemera I create! And today, I want to share a taste of the art care package process with you.
When you support independent artists, you are supporting independent thinking. When you donate to independent artists, you are saying that you believe in freedom of thought and freedom of choice. When you buy artwork from local and independent artists, you are affirming your own ability to live out loud and lean into your own authenticity.
The people who have supported my work by either buying my art and prints, attending productions of plays that I write, sharing my work on social media, or patronizing my work here on Patreon are forever lodged in my heart. My patrons are my life blood and they inspire me to keep moving forward - to continue creating new pathways for thought and connection.
HOW DOES PATREON WORK?
Patreon is a platform for supporting independent artists. You decide on a monthly pledge that fits your budget. You'll be charged on the day that you subscribe and then every month thereafter, Patreon will process your pledge on the first of the month. You can change or cancel your pledge at any time. It's that simple!
I am filled with gratitude for my patrons. It's not just your monthly pledge that buoys my art-making, its the connection we have, the exchange of ideas, and the inspiration I draw from your belief in me. If you are moved by my work and want to participate in its creation, then consider this your invitation. I'd love for you to join me: www.patreon.com/sarahgreenman.
A NOTE ABOUT PATREON, ACCESS, and ACCOUNTABILITY:
Patreon serves as a way to be in right-relationship and receive remuneration from my community. It is not a paywall. There are lots of ways to engage with my work: free workshops, open studio on the first Friday of every month (also free), equity price structures for all retreats ands workshops, sliding scale options for creative consultation and oracle card readings, and more. If you'd like to know more, I have articulated my work’s purpose and focus at www.sarahgreenman.com/journey as a way of remaining accountable to my community and connected to my mission-driven work. I am always open to feedback about this emergent way of working and I'd love to hear from you!
