Photo Inspiration From the Edwardian Era

I stumbled across some autochrome photos of women from the Edwardian era (1900-1910 or thereabout) and was struck by their beauty and their physical postures. I always feel these ancestors to be so stuffy and hemmed in, but these photos tell a very different story. I want to also acknowledge that the subjects of these photos are white women who stood in a place of privilege during their time. Photography was new, expensive, and largely a hobby of the elite. That said, I think there is much to glean, artistically speaking, from these images and I share them here in that spirit.
