This piece was inspired by two poems: “Plantetarium” by Adrienne Rich and “Antidotes to Fear of Death” by Rebecca Elson. The title comes from a phrase in “Planetarium”.

I am an instrument in the shape
of a woman trying to translate pulsations
into images    for the relief of the body
and the reconstruction of the mind.
