“The dream is real, my friends. The failure to make it work is the unreality.” —Toni Cade Bombara
Card: Water Your Dreams
Landscape: Earth/Belonging
Title of Painting: Life Line
Interpretation: If your dream is a seed, you cannot simply bury it in the Earth and expect it to germinate. Your dream needs to be watered. And not just once, but every day. This card speaks to the nature of faith and diligence. Water your dreams and watch what is truly possible under the special care of your own efforts and attention.
Deeper Resonance: Eagle Valley lies at the base of the Wallowa-Whitman mountain range in Eastern Oregon. It encompasses both high desert and fertile agricultural land. The central part of the valley is filled with hay, hemp, and corn fields, organic fruit and nut orchards, and grazing lands. All of this is flood irrigated by a labyrinth of gravity fed irrigation ditches like the one depicted in this artwork.
