EVANGELINE STOTT
Creative Process and the Art of Inquiry
In this episode, I talk with collage artist and muralist Evangeline Stott about collaboration, her creative process, the inherent intelligence of the body, and the call of the open road. We also touch on maternal loss, the importance of rest, and how robust creative inquiry can lead to a profound sense of belonging. Listen in as we discuss what it means to live at the intersections of grief, joy, disability, and true freedom.
Our conversation happened in June of 2021.

GUEST INFO
Evangeline Stott (she/her) is a visual artist and storyteller with desert roots and an East Coast heart. She creates paintings and mixed media collages as a way to explore the connective tissue in relationships. Her dance with grief and joy drives her to create heirloom pieces that capture small and significant moments in time. Being an "actress turned artist" means that collaboration is built into her operating system, and she works intimately in her community to generate spaces for deep-rooted connection.
Evangeline is currently an Artist in Residence at the New England Carousel Museum in Bristol, Connecticut.
