“Practice seeing possibilities. When you focus on what you already know, you keep creating the same reality.”

Card: Make Room For a New Way of Thinking

Landscape: Spirit/Intuition

Title of Painting: Subclinical

Interpretation: You’ve been in a rut. Your usual way of working is not serving you anymore and you’re not sure where to turn. There are so many ways of moving through the world. Get out of your head and shake up your process. Move your body. Change your bedsheets. Get out into nature. Read some erotica. Cast a spell. Make sushi. Sing. You do not have to do everything as you’ve always done. Get out of your own way and enjoy the benefits of your own neuroplasticity.

Deeper Resonance: This piece is part of the Neuroplasticity Series and refers to Subclinical Seizures, which do not present any visible signs or symptoms. This card is a meditation on the unknown magic of “abnormal” brain activity. In ancient Greek and Hmong cultures, epilepsy was viewed as an altered state, a potential point of entry into the spiritual realm to which the rest of us are denied access. If you look closely at this image, you can see the silhouette of butterflies emerging from the back of the head near the brain stem and cerebral cortex.
